Our founder, Janet Feldman, spent 10 years partnering with robotics expert Jessica Banks and German engineers to reimagine what a mobility chair could be. It meant testing prototypes across multiple factories and refusing to compromise on any detail.

A footrest unlike any other
Our footrest alone took two years to perfect. We needed it to glide out as the chair reclines, form a perfect "T" to prevent sliding, and coordinate seamlessly with the lift mechanism. It sounds simple. It wasn't. But that obsession with getting every detail right? That's what makes the AWEchair™ different.
